Application Loader doesn't let me choose my app to upload

It says the application is ready to upload and I go to the application loader. When I try to choose my application it is faded so I cannot choose it.
Can anyone help me? This is my first time publishing an app so I could have screwed something else up, but any advice would be AWESOME!

    In itunes connect, make sure you hit the "ready to upload" icon, so it shows "waiting for upload" in itunes connect, otherwise not sure why it's not working...

    I'm sorry in my first post I meant it says waiting for upload not ready to upload

    I tried a few things and found out that if I save it on my desktop from gamesalad I have to move it in iTunes then choose it from the mobile applications folder where all my iTunes apps are.
