Hi Guys,

The Shadow Doll point and click adventure is is the App Store. It took 17 days from my initial submission…and then I submitted an update today, as I found 2 major bugs. I'm surprised Apple allowed it through!

The bugs are with loading a saved game and playing the game through a second time- all down to 1 attribute not being reset to zero. I sorted out memory issues too which could lead to a crash (basically dividing scenes into two parts). It should be ok if you play it through from start to finish.

I'm not going to start promoting it until the update has been accepted. I think I get another 50 promo codes with a new version?

    Thanks guys! I'm concerned that it may be too short a game, even though it is 80 MB- lots of graphic and sounds, etc. Let me know what you think, but please bear in mind that this is my first Gamesalad game! :)

    Don't worry Jason. The Train episode 01 was my first GS game too, and it turned out pretty good :)

    It means your game is in demand, try not worry this happens to all games these days unfortunately :( In-app purchasing will help stop this.

    Is this normal for new releases? I just downloaded my app from Zshare.net & tried to install it. iTunes recognizes that it is definitely my game.

    But you gave away promo codes. That's usually where the thieves get the games they rip.

    This is normal, and to be expected. The people who get the rip-off would not buy the game anyway I'm afraid. Take it a flattery, they thought the game was good enough to bother ripping it off.

    Hey, your game looks cool.

    All promos are gone. This is another problem with posting promo codes. It's often better to ask people to email for a code. Also, as I understand, you can no longer leave a rating/review with a game downloaded with a promo code. This was a recent policy change by Apple.

    i thought that too but he posted the promo codes after acknowledging the sale - unless he posted elsewhere too..still promo codes are tied to accounts

    You can still leave a review using a promo code, just need to redeem code through iTunes on Mac or PC and not iDevice.

    Is it good if my game is in number 50 in Top Paid iPhone Adventure Apps? Does this mean only in my country? (Ireland has a small population).

    Yes, it does mean only in your country. The game looks scary based on the screens, you should post the link to the app in iTunes.

    This is the best adventure game ever made with GameSalad! It reminds me my childhood, and very first adventure games!

    Shadow Doll is in New and Noteworthy in the adventure game section of iTunes Ireland along with Escape From LaVille!

    Shadow Doll is in New and Noteworthy in the adventure game section of both UK and Ireland now. Just wish Apple would review Version 1.1 so I could get it out there.
