8BIT Music free?

Anyone know a free way to make music(8bit if possible) for free?
I am currently using LMMS with magical 8 bit plugin is there a better/easier way
I can use Windows xp, ubuntu or mac though preferably windows
i have no musical talent so the simpler the better

    Well,

    If I understand correctly, you're probably looking for "chiptunes" (like the music you would hear throughout all the old school video games (pewpews, beeps, boops, and the oh so notorious "crrrch" snare sound, etc) If that's what you're looking for, one highly recommended piece of software is famitracker. I've used it for a few of my own personal tunes, and it's easy to learn, and... it's free!

    Even better, if you're going for a Tracker is SunVox. It can easily create 8-bit styled chiptunes, as well as 16-bit styled FM synth stuff, through to full on modern synths and samples. It's also free ;-)

    Y'know, GarageBand has some really awesome synth and electronic tracks!
