Hi, here's my finalised company splash screen, the menu card and one of the puzzles for your interest. you'll see that there's only two clues for this puzzle at the moment, each will have the 6-8 clues needed for this type of puzzle eventually. Not all the squares are Ruled yet either. (Or the names, etc top and left of the grid).
Needless to say, once this first puzzle has been finalized, the others will be based on that, so much less work for the rest (apart from writing all the individual puzzle clues themselves).
Hope you like what you see and comments/crits appreciated, thanks.
Edit: there seems to be a time lag between images and sounds unfortunately...

I'm trying to add a bit more "player value" though by making a story running through it. No worries, beefy, especially if you've not familiar with this type of puzzle. "Well put together" helps my confidence to carry on, thanks! I know puzzle games aren't everyone's cup of tea but hoping (well knowing, I guess) there are plenty of puzzle fan out there, logic grid puzzles included. Thank you, scribblstudios. :-) OK Jon, thanks! Yes, true; hopefully the puzzle fans will "come out of the woodwork" when it's on the App Store! I made the grid in Illustrator, imported into PS, for info.
Like your website. :-)

Two, game music sounds great.
Three, Not sure what's going on in your game. I really wasn't understanding why you clicked the boxes and they had an "X" and then sometimes you clicked it again and it became a "Check-Mark." So I think maybe some instructions or something to show me what you're doing would be incredibly helpful. I'm assuming you'll be putting in a tutorial into the game...
Four, Not sure I would guess to click on the "Clues" area. The little boxes don't really look like something that should pop-out from the side and have information. Again, a tutorial or something would fix this issue. But, even still, maybe add an arrow or something on it so that players would fully understand that they are to use that as clues (some players skip over tutorials believe it or not, like me!). Maybe a color system would be cool, a "Red dot" on the clue square and a "Green dot." Green means you've read the clue already. Red means you haven't read it yet.
Looks great otherwise!
Good luck with it!
The grid in GS. Did you set up each individual box manually?
I've always intended to put instructions on the home/menu screen but half-thinking not many people would need instructions; now I know I'm wrong. Thanks again, very helpful comments.
Doing the puzzle on paper, you either put a cross or a tick into each of the boxes in the grid. Being on computer, I could have had a tick button and a cross button (as well as an erase button) so that one of those would be touched by the user, then the appropriate square touched. But that would become tedious.
So instead, by touching any grid square, it cycles through cross, tick and blank for you to choose. (When all boxes are filled, a Check button will appear. If the solution is correct, a forward button appears, to go to the next puzzle).
For interest, here's a good example of a traditional printed logic grid puzzle:
http://www.puzzler.com/Puzzles-encyclopedia/Puzzle-samples/LogicProblem.pdf The clues for this type of puzzle will have numbers on them eventually (they were there at one time but got deleted for some reason!) Being as they're numbered, they might "cry out" a bit more that they need to be pressed! Thanks.
When you get into this type of game, you'll find that you'll revisit any one of the clues more than once while doing the puzzle. That's worth pointing out in the instructions as well.
Really good comments; I learnt a lot from those! Ah right, misunderstood, sorry (easy for me to do lately...again! It seems to go in waves....must be to do with what I had for breakfast.... ;-)
Yes, there's flippin' 150 attributes, per puzzle grid (they'll be at least 30 puzzles so...necessary for saved games) I tried to simplify it but that's the only way it could be done that I could work out. Each square needs to be one of 3 possible states at any one time...etc; anyway, it seems to be working as I want now.
:-)
