Writing Attributes

I started typing in the attributes in the attribute fields and I unfortunately learned that GS doesn't save when you write in your attributes. I started writing in my attributes was I had so many attributes, it was easier to type it in than to scroll and search for the attribute I needed. Is this a bug or is it that GS wants us to use the scroll selection, or am I just saving wrong? Thank You Guys.

    Do you think they will amend this rule to typing, because it makes programming so much faster when you can just type it.
