New App and New Marketing Technique-Mystery Box

I just got my new app Mystery Box submitted! I used a new marketing technique that I believe will be extremely successful or will fail horribly. Getting the customer to make their friends suffer and making me money in the process. I don't want to say anything else because it might ruin the surprise. Here are some codes:

Edit: I forgot to mention this before. Make sure you have earphones in or your speakers on. I worked really hard on the sound effects and the results (at least I think) are amazing.

    I have a feeling you are going to get a load of bad reviews. and I wouldn't be surprised if people are demanding a refund from apple.

    I dont mean to harp on your new app but I would feel completely ripped off if I had paid money for this. This really should be nothing but free. Sorry but thats my opinion

    The only thing that enticed me to download this was tenrdrmer's post above. Now that I have 'played' it I feel you should compensate me for wasting part of my life. I even enjoyed typing this post more than your app. Now I just feel sad :(

    Ok so this has actually grated on me a bit today and then I got it off my mind. But unfortunately a friend reminded me about it by asking what was up with it. So I decided its apps like these that give GameSalad a bad name. I'm not normally one to come down on anyones app. However I also feel this is very wrong to charge money for this. It would certainly be a funny free app. but i'm sorry its just wrong. your description give no info on what these people are getting and it will always be disappointing. Just for the GameSalad members here I have made a video of my play of this and yes this is it in its entirety. THe only thing you don't see in this video is his custom splash screen and what happens when you click the play this joke on your friends button. All it does is open up an email with the subject and content already filled in saying try this cool app out or something.

    Mr.Rinoy. Please do not take this as an attack on you. It certainly is not. I just feel selling this as you are is wrong. Make it free and will probably be a big hit. but for sale I cannot believe apple actually allowed this.

    Oh. I thought it might be that.

    I did something similar when I first started out. It was called 'Black Cat Halloween'. Same concept except you were in a haunted house allegedly looking for the black cat, then suddenly a 'roar' would happen and an eye would fill the screen.

    Yes, it's as bad as it sounds, and has been removed from sale. While I know some people like this kind of thing, and did take great pains to make sure people knew what they were buying, it just felt kinda wrong.

    I'd add to the description that this is a 'prank' app designed to scare your friends.

    I agree it is a bit of a ripoff. This prank is a bit last decade.

    Have the iphone take a photo of the person playing when the scary face appear, and now you got a great concept almost worth a buck :)
