Pandeiro v 1.1

I just uploaded a new version of Pandeiro to the App Store. (my first GS app).
A Pandeiro is a tambourine like instrument played in Brazilian bands and Capoeira (Martial Art).

I managed to get the bell ring sound a lot better. It uses the Accelerometer. It took about a full day to tweak this!

When it is released I will post promos.

New in this version
- Pandeiro now comes with the rim sound!
- touch sensitive bell ring
- improved open, slap and ring sound
- new instructions
- improved HD retina graphics

The rim sound is made by starting with one finger/thumb on the bottom-left of the screen. Slide up to make the sound.
The Rim sound is speed-sensitive, the faster you slide the higher the frequency of the rim sound.

Play with the speaker outwards so your hand does not dampen the sound. You can play right or left handed.

what about latency (the time between the user touchs the screen and when the sound actually plays)? I tried to make some apps like yours with GS but I got terrible high latencies which made the instrument not playable. I will be happy to try your app.

Latency is brought to a minimum by minimizing rules and such. Also the quality of the sound file is important.
In my sound editor I made sure all non hearable in the attack was deleted. On a drum this can be done because it just gives a snappier sound. On other instruments it might ad a clicking sound.
The bells are not as good as I would want, but I haven't found a better app with bells in the app store yet so I guess the accelerometer causes this and it has nothing to do with gs being slow.
I am a drummer myself and find Pandeiro not perfect but fun!

I just saw on appannie that Pandeiro was in the top 100 music catagory in 4 countries. And the highest Grossing on 9. It has been on 10 in Costa Rica, and on 7 in Armenia and Kazakhstan
I realize this is not a big performance but nice to look at any way.
Pandeiro's update is reviewed this week (I hope)so I hope to make some buyers happy with that.

Not making me rich but at the end of the year it might just be enough for a GS membership and that is what I am aiming for.

Great job on the rankings! I made a small metronome in GS with achievements etc. I didn't release it because there is a small but fatal leak in GS. Anyway you have inspired me to make some music apps. Congrats again.
