edited November -1 in Announce Your Game!
I made this game for my son who has Leukemia and for everyone else fighting cancer.

http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/cancer-zapper-hd/id439412449?mt=8&ls=1#

Fight cancer as Dr. Syringe! Swim through the blood stream and shoot Chemotherapy as you fight towards remission.

This is my first post to the forums, I would have posted sooner but I didn't need to. Every question I had was already asked here on the forum and someone had posted an answer. From Camera tricks to being locked out of my files in 0.9.3 this forum was extremely helpful.

I want to take a moment and thank two specific developers who's posts and videos provided both guidance and shoulders to stand upon. Thank you TshirtBooth and Orbz ! This would have taken a lot longer without your posts.

I would love to get some feedback on the game, I did hardware testing with 7 other cancer kids around the country on their iPads.

A few other notes and shout outs:
http://appsendr.com/ - I used this to send out and update the beta to my testers over the air with ad hoc builds, it took some tweeking to make it work with gamesalad but once it was working this was FANTASTIC.

When doing Camera Zoom, Rotate, and translation I notice I get some high frequency vibration of the graphics I use for controls. Has anyone else seen that issue?

When I use display text objects I get a 20fps hit, that's why the score only shows up at the end of the level. I plan to change that out to custom graphics on the next version.

This game was built in 12 days, Mostly from the cancer hospital durring my son's chemotherapy and at home. it's my 2nd Gamesalad project. The first was a custom game for him that he designed, it may see the public light of day eventually.

I plan to add more Hospitals (worlds) and more levels biased on requests by people to have their cancer represented.

If you use one, please post below that it's been used.

Thanks for the kind words. We take it one day at a time.

Trying to get the iPhone version out to this weekend, working one a way to publish both from the same probject with just a few variable changes.

And the iPhone version is uploading to Apple now. I will make a post when it gets approved. Last one took about 5 days, not to bad considering the storied I had heard in the past.

This looks astoundingly good, and a great game idea, both educational for some I'm sure, as well as some classic gameplay.

The graphics style on the characters looks great, very professional. Are they animated?

I'll be sure to check out the iphone version once it gets approved.

    Good luck with sales,

and best wishes to your son from me as well.

    Stormystudio,
That's a huge compliment, Thank You.

They are all professional graphics done by a combination of myself and some out sourcing. I am glad you like them. Right now there is a limited amount of animation, mostly goggly eyes, and the bob around the scene and rotate and scale. More animation is on my list for future versions. Each different type of cancer has it's own unique look. I have the art for the next hospital and two cancers for it done, just working on the level design and power ups. The design work has taken up most of the time.

Very generous of you to post codes, BradHerman, but I think the fine group at GS knows what they should do. ;)

I would love support for universal apps, I wrote the game so that all I have to do to change from iPad to iPhone is set 3 game attributes and set gamesalad to the other platform. It makes it easy to update but universal would be better. I know it's on the roadmap, just wanted to put it out there again.

Just a quick update, I'm still working on the next version of the app, I have been getting around 15 sales every two weeks. Not amazing but it's paid for the dev account atleast.

These forums have been great and thank you to everyone here for all of your help.

That was very nice of you, thanks!
Please let me know what you think, I hope to have the update with 12 more levels out soon. I did about 4 hours on it last night and it's almost ready to play test.
