ad hoc question

can i put an ad hoc build on to my friends phone from my computer, he's here but im not sure if iTunes will just overwrite all of his stuff with mine? :(

    I believe you can do it using xcode. You could also setup testflight.com for your testing and then you can send him a build anytime you want from anywhere and he just needs internet to install it.

    I gave my sons friend a birthday game we made just for him ... made an ad hoc (using his UDID) and plugged his iPod in my computer it showed in iTunes but nothing tried to synch or change. I then dragged the ad hoc onto his iPod icon in iTunes and it all worked.

    NOTE: In iTunes preferences I have Prevent iTunes from synching automatically checked (ie: So it won't try to synch)
