Hello everybody,

After a long wind of a couple projects going under, I decided to release a simple game on the app store.

Pterodactyl madness is a very simple game where you control a pterodactyl and avoid obstacles. You also get the chance to get power ups to push you farther and faster. On top of that there are 7 achievements in the game. If you want to check out pterodactyl madness check it out on the app store.

Thanks everybody for their help on the forums. I look forward to releasing more games :). If there is something that I should do for next time please let me know :)

Your mammoth logo is awesome, and I'm impressed that you released an XNA game.

But that game look just wrong from the presentation page. Add some screenshots of the game, and maybe even remove the screenshot of the menu because this is really not making me want to buy.

All I can see is some photoshop grass and mediocre menu presentation. I sound harsh, but I'm sure the in-game screenshots looks actually way better judging from the icon.

Hi thanks for the comments, what exactly makes the menu mediocre? :)

Well sorry if it sounded harsh, it doesn't look bad but just nothing special. I really rather see what's inside the game than the menu.

Maybe what annoys be a little is the menu placement. It might just be me, but I'd rather have a list of the buttons than have them in line with instructions right under.

Maybe you can add some scrolling clouds, or the pterodactyl hanging on the title or something. The menu isn't that important, but there it's all we see.

Also, if you can find some prehistoric fonts that would look pretty cool :)

Hey guys thanks for the advice. Im making some better screenshots.

Just out of curiosity on a scale of 1-10 how much does the menu screen matter. If you make it flashier does that mean its better?

I always love those titles that have some personality. For example, my trademark move is to have a menu with gameplay in it.

It's the first impression when playing the game. It is not really important, but somewhat shows the overall quality of the game. If it looks bad, no big deal but don't show it in screenshots. Actually, I would never show a menu in the screenshots because it has nothing to do with why I would buy the game.

Hey guys thanks again, It makes sense to have awesome screenshots. I didn't know why I didn't think of it before :)

Also I plan to make a video for this. I kinda want to make it in iMovie. Is that a good move or a bad move?
