Question about updating apps...

I just submitted an update to my game, Danger Cats!...

When it goes live, do I need to change the date?
Or are we not supposed to do that anymore?

If I don't change the date, will there be any mention of the update on the app store?
Other than the direct link to the game, of course.

I understand that the game will disappear from the site if I change the date, until the new one appears.

Does anybody have any info on this?

I know that you can't change the date of releases on updates anymore.
