Yeti chills out at the foot of a cliff when a penguin jumps down. The Yeti's sharp instincts check the situation: "That penguin wants to fly." He grabs his club and the rest is history.

Beat Pingu game is a game used to be popular around every corner of the world and now still has lots of fans,it's funny and simple to play.

HOW TO PLAY

TAP the screen and a penguin will jump off the cliff and fall towards your Yeti.
TAP AGAIN and your Yeti will swing his club. Hit the penguin the right time and angle the penguins fly through the air... the further the better.

You can replay the hit every time when the green R button shows up,so next time you can so some adjustment.

The penguin game series is a really an Internet cult hit.There are a couple of penguin games in our series

Hi lucybottom, I'm really surprised that Apple passed this game; I'm certain you've not got permission/copyright clearance to use the name Pingu. You'd be wise to change the name or you could get sued, or be asked for the game to be removed.

What's more, your yeti graphic is a direct rip-off of one of the Monsters Inc. characters owned by Pixar/Disney.

It is not just a question of using one of the characters from Monsters Inc but you have actually just used an image of the monster and edited it to loose the colour. Pingu is a copyrighted and trade marked character. You are heading for problems of your own making.

This makes me upset. Upset that you used Sully's picture, and the copywrited name, and also upset that apple approved of this app.

Please remove this app from the appstore.

I think the problem is the monster.inc character and not the Pingu name. I mean, seriously Pingu isn't an iphone game and a very generic name.
edit: Oh it's also an animated serie, I guess this is pretty bad XD

I'm not really surprised that it passed apple approval though, after all there was a Mario Clone game out there on the app store (it probably got removed now though).

Graphics on your app are good, did you actually make them? Sorry to doubt, but that Sully Yeti is just... why didn't you take Monster.inc's yeti instead?

Hi Kasper, you seem a bit over-polite to someone who's stolen people's work, if i might say... As for the graphics on the app being good, well of course the yeti is good, being created by Disney and there's an odd-on favourite bet that if this person has stolen one graphic, as well as a copyrighted name - especially of a well-known character - then the rest of the graphics were stolen. And stealing it is.

This topic has come up a few times on this Forum, some people not getting how wrong it is. I mean, would you be so polite if it were your graphics up there without your permission?

That was indeed over-politeness. I don't know what went through developper's mind and if apple ever watched a Disney movie.

I'm just curious about their 'cult' games. He seem to have published some decent quality apps that might not be stolen. I wonder what's going on with Studio FX.

Stranger still, Apple, are rather Steve Jobs used to own, and still is a major shareholder of Pixar.

I see what you are saying about Studio FX, with some other decent apps/"cult" games; not that I've seen their website/checked them out, but I'm curious too. But certainly if they are a professional outfit they should know better, I'm sure you'd agree.
