i would just make backups of your projects and upgrade. that way if anything happens at least you have backups that are untouched and not opened in the update yet.
yes you need the newest version to publish. Make a backup up your project so u have a untouched one when needed.
I guess im lucky, i have seen no bugs whatsover yet (knock on wood)
and even the ones that are found theres actually only a couple bugs.
Its just that peolple feel the need to make 1000 threads on the same thing, so you see all these bug threads and posts but there basically all about the same 2 or 3 bugs.
