i want to buy a pro license of gamesalad, but it´s tooo expensive!
of course i know gamesalad does do a lot for us, but 499$!

i need to pay 99$ for apple and 499$ for gamesalad = 598$!!

Why isn´t there cheaper pricings for stundents, or something linke that?

Because i am student, and don´t earn my own money, but want to buy a pro license

Well if you use GS free, you WILL make your own money (if you make good games)

So make the money from selling apps, then buy pro. That's my plan.

    Option 2-have a garage sale :P

Generally, educational discounts are given because the software is to be used non-commercially. If you think $499 is expensive, it used to be $1999 a year.

GS is very Nice to keep the price at $500, it use to be $2000, And its also generous of them to give people the chance to develop games for free.

PS: Thank-You GS For Leader Boards

It really makes me mad when students run around expecting handouts or discounts all over the place! The only things you deserve are the things you WORK for!

Gas is expensive, Food is expensive, Clothes are expensive, Computers are expensive, however, Gamesalad is a bargain.

If you make a decent game and put ads in it, you'll make $500 pretty quickly. Good luck!

Gamesalad is very very cheap. It's free to make apps. It's $500 to get extra features. If you make an app that's any good and that's marketed well, the $500 should be nothing. Honestly, if you can't afford it you can't afford it. No one complains to an owner of a house to make their house less expensive because they can't afford it. Just because games for the computer cost less than $50 doesn't mean software should. I was shocked when I first saw software priced at over $3000, but then I realized that if you know what you're doing with software, you can make that money back quickly. Gamesalad is a business. Honestly, if they priced it any lower, they would make absolutely no money.

This has been talked about again and again and again and again and again ....

The $500 price point is a good price point. Pro used to be $2000. The express version was $500 when I joined.

You don't need pro to make a good game. And if you put some decent effort into making a game you would buy, you'll make $500 in no time.
