Hello!
Do you think that Apple will accept a game with few "f*ck" and "f*cker" words in the dialogues?

Thank you! :)

It's the second episode of my first game - The Train (http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/the-train-episode-01/id403228643?mt=8). In the second episode you play as a different character, who is... let's say the "bad guy".

The Train episode 01 is rated 12+, I want this series to go up (16+). The F word is not the only "bad thing" in the game.

Hmm, I don't know but I would air on the side of caution with it, some people find it really offensive although I don't understand why, especially now that it is used so often. One thing though, I think 'f**k' looks a lot worse written down than actually said?

It's written down, and I use it to describe the hard life and memories of the main character - his "black soul", youthful rebellion, and traumatic experiences.

I'd have no problem at all with it but @Jamwithno proved that some people take offense to it.

@ace - while I personally swear like a trooper, I edited your post slightly. The nature of GS is such that we have a very 'family friendly' audience here.

The odd swear word on the forums is fine, but it felt unnecessary in your post.

    Hope that's f**cking ok with you ;)

O I realize why you would put it in there if it is a bad guy. But I still like it when good games like the train episode 1 or 2 has CUSING that is just my opion. You can put it in there but don't use it to much because I surtanly won't buy it.

How about adding a language filter option to your game? When the game is first started, it can ask the player if they want it on or off (and they can change it at a later time from the options menu). When the language filter is on, the curse words (e.g. f**king) are replaced:

    <bleep>-ing
    !@#$%-ing

Or you could add a black bar that appears over the word like in released confidential government documents. With the filter option, no one can complain about the game because it's the player's choice.

    @tshirtbooth

Is your game about the WWII Nazi leader, Hermann Göring?

QS: Got a giggle from your post :)

Apple is very conservative so it's doubtful,

I agree with censoring the stuff in the forums, given the vast age groups that visit here, but it's ridiculous that apple doesn't allow "Adult" apps with Adult content in the App store. As long as it doesn't cross any lines, it shouldn't be an issue.

There was an overhead dual joystick zombie shooter a few months ago that the main character said that every time he collided with a zombie. I can't remember the game, but there is a video of it here on the forums somewhere. It made it to the app store.

I'm personally more offended by poor grammar/spelling and all-caps typing than I am by profanity.

You might end up getting rated if you leave it in there, but you can be on the App Store with a F-Bomb in your game.
