Already got the instant reset primed and ready to go, just not added in the reset attribute yet, I have all the start x and y's sorted. In fact, I'll blast the instant reset in today and finish off all the code so I can do the levels tomorrow onwards.
I'm looking forward to beta testing your new game Buddy, maybe you can return the favour
Nice work! I Like the art style of how the Owl is coin shaped.
Kind of Cut-the-Rope-ish with a build your own solution gimmick.
One thought I had from a UI design perspective is that "GO" seems like an awkward label for that action button. Maybe a picture of an egg dropping with movement lines above it?
I just wanted to make it super simple for people to use, even though I will be having graphics telling you what to press, I might play around with some different buttons tomorrow.
I just got ALL the coding done, just need to drag and drop levels now
Hi, really nice game! Congrats ! Can I have a questions? How do you make "drop down menu"? Its some actor which spawns another actor? Or do you move actors from offscreen to menu ? Thanks!
I would definitely use the method of moving actors, not spawning them, either that or have the color alpha set to 0 and when you want it visible, just set it to 1.
QUESTION: Is that a custom loading screen I see? Would that be a Pro feature? (sorry if that's a dumb Question) LOL Wheel of doom must die : )
SUGGESTION: The game is awesomely original id def buy it. But stars are so common now days. Why not try something different for the Egg to pass through? No idea what, but it's only a suggestions. Still a great game with or without : )
Nope, not a pro feature, all I did was have a black actor with the alpha set to 0 and a loading text also set to 0, when I want to change the scene I set my black actor's alpha to 0.65 and the loading actor to 1 and after 0.1 seconds, change scene; it looks a hell of a lot better on the device than in the video recording above though.
Only Pro-feature I'm using in this game is the custom splash which is here:
With the stars, I initially wanted to use something else because I realised that stars are over-used, especially in iOS games but then I realised that this is maybe a good thing, users are that familiar with stars that they instantly know that they should be collecting them and I wanted this game to be as user friendly as possible so there is no confusion.
Ace released the game about a month ago but recently I purchased the full rights to Fat Owl (now Fat Owl!) and that is why it shows as a new release. Ace and I talked about in game sound but he built the game intentionally without it for optimization and he didn't feel he could add any sounds without a major overhaul to the game.
If the game does okay, I will certainly look at having someone add some levels and seeing what can be done for sound.

I wish I had all my "coding" done... I'm not working on artwork until I have functionality.

I never use spawn.
