Where Do I Get My Zip File

Hey I was watching the tutorial by tshirtbooth on how to upload to apple and he said make sure the file is zipped and i don't know what he is talking about when he said the file gamesalad sent you?

    right click your file and click compress. It turns into a zipped file.

    how do i get rid of the errors
    like may not contain whitespace and no application found in archive
