Publish to web from earlier version

I looked through the discussion threads and cannot find a particular one that ask this question:

can I still publish onto GS web using previous version? (8.9 beta)

It will proceed to upload but then simply gives me "Could not upload game project" (file size: 6.4mb)

when I tried other upload options (iphone, mac) it says "GameSalad Express and Pro Members can publish an unlimited number of games for the iPhone and iPod Touch." There's only cancel, learn more or join now buttons, and the message doesn't really make sense because it has the same message if I want to publish to mac too.

So I suspect that maybe I cannot publish games using previous version of GS?

You can only publish using the newest version. It's a bad idea to keep using old versions anyway as new bug fixes that come out can actually break your project files.

thanks for the reply! I use the old versions because my OS is not up to date yet (waiting for Lion so I can update it). Guess there's no way for me to publish anything until I update my OS...:/

nope and to be honest your playing with fire if you keep building your game on the old version. SnowLeopard update is only $30. it would be worth it in the mean time IMO
