Hello!
I would like to convert a PDF file to ePub format for reading it on an iPhone.
Is there an online/desktop tool that will allow me to do that?
Thanks.

    Hi!

The Unofficial GameSalad Textbook was converted from PDF, to ePub and then to an App. Basically, it went like this...

    • I created the book with InDesign
    • I tried exporting to ePub with InDesign
    • It would either crash or do a lousy job
    • I got a copy of Pages for Mac
    • I moved the document into Pages, changed the layout a bit.
    • I exported it to ePub
    • I published the book to the iBookstore
    • I learned that the iBookstore was not a good spot for my book.
    • I converted the ePub to an app.

Why not just get a PDF reader app for your phone and read it that way? I use 'Bookman' (and its free).

Oh, for reading PDFs... for selling books, I think apps are better.

If all you want to do is read the PDFs on an iOS device, iBooks or Safari are possibilities.

Do you have a Gmail account? You can save pdfs or pretty much anything to Google Docs and read them in Good Reader without having to convert.
Also, you may try this tutorial about how to convert PDF to ePub for iPhone. Results depend entirely on the PDFs that you want to convert.
Hope it can do you a favor.
