Uploading app to itunes connect!

so i have finished my app, and started create the app in itunes connect, when i come to upload the app to itunes connect, it comes up with the message ...

'application failed codesign verification. The signature was invalid, or it was not signed with an apple submission certificate'

can you tell me what this means and what to do .. thanks

have you done all the certificates, app IDs and provisioning profile stuff?

i have created the app id and the development provisioning profile for the app

When publishing check that you choose the correct provision profile and that it is identical in iTunes connect

do i need a distribution provisioning profile ... cause i havent got one of those .. sorry about all this, im new

yes yes, must be a distribution profile ticked for appstore
