Can't transfer New Game on iPad

I created my first game, signed up with apple as a developer for $99 and went through the GS publish for IOS steps successfully.
I see the app in itunes and when i connect my ipad it does a sync but my GS game is NOT on the ipad? I see it in itunes under apps on the top left but not anywhere when i connect the ipad.
it does the sync fine without errors.
How do i get the GS game on the ipad?
