Hello everyone.. I am having trouble deciding what to put for the background of my game.. do any one of you know a good site that I can buy a background.. I am not really the artist type and my attempt to make one didn't look quite good.

I'm looking for a simple background perhaps with some color fading or lines stuff like that nothing to complicated.

Thank you

What type of backgrounds tsb? If there's any platformer mario-style parallax-scrolling backgrounds, I'd definitely buy it. Or will they just be generic? But ya, I'd also take 30 right now for 5, or even 10, because that's a lot of work.

No platformer backgrounds? Not even as bonus? Ah, well. I'll have to make my own unfortunately.

But still, those look great, and maybe I can still use them somehow.

I think Tshirt has some good things coming, will be well worth the wait, he's a smart guy. Looking forward to the release and the restart of GShelper.com.

yea I do photshop illustrator etc.. but I always thank people when they deserve to be thanked. No matter if they just pointed to the right thread or they did a simple graphic for me

haha I know. Im not talking about that though. I may have worded it wrong. It was very generous of him to take the time out and do that. I just wanted to tell you all you have to do is make a huge square covering the canvas, grap the gradient tool, set the gradient to the two colors you want to mix, and put it in there. I understand what you are saying though. I didn't mean it like that:) haha. sorry for the misunderstanding:)

No problem at all for the misunderstanding ...

    cheers

Well it was a bit more than just a two color gradient (maybe someone needs a monitor refresh :)) but not rocket science :)

haha well either way it was nice of you to do that. I should just shut my mouth haha. I tend to just say things before realizing or thinking about others might take it. lol

no.. its ok the more I look at it the more basic it becomes :) But somewhere along the line there were a few layers of tom foolery, there was a texture (don't know where that went) nabbed from keynote and then a gradient with a bit of zoom blur and a vignette, I think it all became a bit subtle.
