Thanks, Sales have increased from day 1 but only by a little. I was hoping for more but, what can you do? I was also praying for a little new and noteworthy love but no luck. Who knows? maybe next week. Some reviews should help if any come through. (and if the reviews aren't horrible )
Well it looks like I was placed in the sub-category puzzle and arcade, new and noteworthy sections for the US at least. Does this ever really have an effect? I wonder how many people actually bother to scroll down in itunes click on puzzle and then see all for new and noteworthy?
Is it possible to be featured in the main new and noteworthy section next week? Or am I out of luck at this point?

Unfortunately the sub new and noteworthy's really don't help. Thats from personal and others reported experience. I like the game and I think you can prob still get in on next weeks main page but honestly not sure how that all works.
Thanks for the promo I'll get you a review soon. Also sent you another PM.
I'd just like to reiterate what everyone has said here - I bought Sketch Ball and think it's fantastic.
The art style, animations, and attention to detail are first class. My only thought is that perhaps a scoring system would add to the re-playability, but other than that, congratulations on an excellent game!

Hope you get the sales you deserve.
Cheers
Thanks Chucky, that's a good suggestion. I'm thinking like a par system? So depending on how many times you retry the ball you get a star rank based on that.
Just left you a review on the U.S. App Store under "App Master 18". Once again, this is truly a fantastic game. However, I do have a few suggestions on how to make it even better!
1. Allow the user to erase previous marks, kinda like an undo feature. 2. I would get rid of the Retry button after the user messes up. You could keep it there just in case they want to start over during a certain level, but after they loose at a particular level, it should automatically reset the scene. 3. Add something to increase re-playability, perhaps a game clock that counts how long it takes the user to complete a certain level, then logs that time in a high scores system, or something like that. 4. You may also want to add in a Continue button, that way the user can go back to the last level they were playing before they previously quit the game. The user may not remember which level they left off on, especially if they play both modes at the same time. The continue button would allow them to get where they are going faster.
Other than that, I think everything is awesome! You might consider buying Darren and Wayne's Project Resizer tool so you can port your game over to the iPad much faster. I bought it and I was able to eliminate 97% of the work involved in making my iPhone game run on the iPad, and it has already payed for itself. Best of luck with this great game.
Hi GamersRejoice, Just bought Sketch Ball I really enjoyed it, it was really fun to play. Looks like you put a lot of love and effort into it. Great music as well. Would not be surprised to see this on the main page of "Whats Hot" within the next few weeks. Also thanks for the Menu Template it's great, am sure a few of them techniques will come in handy :-)

Thank you for your feedback, good stuf. I want to make an ipad version, I'm saving for it.

I'm glad you liked it. And you are welcome.
Well my first review is in, it's German and it made for a good laugh when google translated it for me. They gave it a B+. It seems to be that people with large fingers would really like to see an iPad version.

That just made my day right there. Thanks! It really makes me smile to see how different everybody's brain works. I have my own way of completing the levels and I have yet to see someone play the same way. Pretty neat.
Awesome game! I do agree that when the ball hits the white you should automatically reset the scene. I think you could keep the Retry button though... Maybe you could do a points system or star system based on how much ink they use? Cool stuff though, like the style.
wow that is an amazing reviews.. congratulations man. Did you used their expedite review service or the standard one? dunno which one to use on that site.

I went ahead and tried the expedite service to see how that worked. It seems to have worked just fine. I was worried that they would hate the game and come back with a bad review so I'm happy.
CrazyMike mentions a few good ideas to make destroy mode better. I'm also looking into make the erase function more like an undo button would. This could help with some of the frustration.
For anyone who is interested sales have dropped down to nothing for the past few days.
I'm also considering a lite version of the game, what do you guys think?
Sketch Ball update 1.1 is waiting for review. It's not a huge update, I improved the drawing mechanics so you don't use ink when your finger is touching the screen but not moving. And also added a timer to destroy mode to make it more of a challenge rather than a game of patience.
I went back and forth on whether or not to make the erase feature more like an undo button. For the time being, at least, I decided against it because I like the challenge it creates. Maybe you guys disagree? What do you think?
I've also submitted a lite version that is waiting for review in hopes that I can increase my daily downloads to more than 1 or 2
Thanks for all of the support guys and gals, I've learned a lot from my first game here and I'm hoping that my game development future is bright. My next game is really going to knock your socks off and I can't wait to show it but it's still a secret... for now.
If you previously left a review in in iTunes it would be great if you could update them. Also feel free to download the lite version and review that one too. Thanks for the support guys!
To be honest his review is fair. But I kind of feel like there is nothing I can do to fix it. I may have done something wrong with the game but I honestly can't figure out why the physics are fairly inconsistent. If I draw a line and then the ball hits it in the same spot at the same speed, should'nt it go at the exact same angle? Strange things.
