Waiting time for updating?

Hi, i just got my app on appstore (waiter about 9 days) and i foud a smaller bug so i decided to fix it and upload version 1.1.

So my question is how long dose it take for apple to aprove an updat? Is that the same time as normal or faster?

That's not entirely true. I noticed that updates usually take a lot less than first uploads.

To have better chances to have it reviewed sooner on the "What's New in this version" write only "minor bug fixes". That's the updates that took less than all the others.

I don't know about your 140 apps. I have only 10 but sent a lot of updates. On average they take 1 to 2 days less to go to the "In review" stage. At that point if you put the "Minor bug fixes" text it goes ready for sale in a matter of minutes.

An example:
- On March 11 at 13:04 I uploaded the 2.5.1 update for one of my game that issued a small bug that slip through on the 2.5 version.
- On March 14 at 23:41 it changed to "In review"
- On March 14 at 23:41 it changed to "Processing for the AppStore"
- On March 14 at 23:44 It changed to "Ready for Sale"

It took 3 days and a half to get approved versus the 6 and 7 and a half days respectively that took two of my apps to get approved two weeks ago.

Final note: Updates approval are, on average, indeed faster.

P.S. If you find a major bug that prevent an optimal gameplay you can ask for an expedited review that usually take about one day or less

Well now it's long waiting time coz of the realise of iPad 2. Everyone is updating apps for the iPad 2
