Mac App Store Rejection Surprise

So I waited about a week and a half for my app to be accepted for the Mac App Store and I was absolutely astounded when it was rejected. The exact same version was submitted for the iPad and was accepted, however Apple's reasoning was, "Apps must comply with all terms and conditions explained in the Apple Macintosh Human Interface Guidelines." I browsed over the guidelines and it seemed to me that it wasn't ascetically pleasing enough which is ridiculous as I'm a professional graphic artist and I take a lot of pride in my art. Has anybody received a notice like this? Any successful Mac App Store publishes? Anything I should know?

Could this be because I selected "Touch" as opposed to "Mouse Click" in all of my rules? Just a thought.

They don't have the ability to see the rules in your games. I have a game on the MAS that has a lot of touch rules but got through.

However if in the game there's a text that says "Touch here" it will go against the guidelines.

I remember TSB saying something about changing all his art that said touch...

I would advise you change any art that points to an iPad or iPhone app.

I really appreciate the replies, however I went through my game and its description and couldn't find anything that attributes my game to an iPad game (other than keeping the iPad resolution.) I kept looking around their guidelines but I can't see how mine stands out from any other Mac app.

Nice to know that some apps got through to the store- it gives me hope!

Just ask apple why exactly it was rejected, so you can fix it.

Wish to post a screenshot of the game here? Or a video so we can see it in action?

You can take a look at the game here:

It's not amazing by any means, but I still don't feel like it's worth rejection.
I'll send an email to Apple asking for clarification. Thanks for the suggestions everyone.

yea, it's because you said touch. it's a mac app, you can't touch it.

It's too bad - when are they going to make Macbooks also have touch screens?
    "Why not?" I say
