Publishing privately

Hi Guys,

Just a quick question..iv been asked to publish an app for a private company...its only meant to reach certain individuals.

What I would like to know is, how do I publish the application, and supply to the company, without them having to place it on the appstore.

I mean, can I give them the file itself? If so...how would they in turn hand it to their clients?

Much appreciated
Ricardo

You can register up to 100 devices to use 'adhoc' builds.

These function exactly like the file on the app store, but it's targeted at just the devices registered. Additionally, there's a time limit on the app (as in the licence will run out after about 3 months I think).

So if it's a short term thingy you want, that might be a way forward.

    Hope that helps!

    QS :D

I believe you can do a distribution adhoc build that will have more time than the developer build. But They will still prob need their own Developer Account with Apple otherwise the app will be published with your certificates and profiles essentially making it yours and not theirs.
