what is: description

Im trying to publish via gamesalad.
i press pulbish, choose iphone and i get to the overview screen.
I can see the "description" field. it says i only can have 1000 characters - but im sure i've seen apps on appstore with more than 1000. so my question is:
is, whatever i put in the descriptionfield what will display in the appstore above the screenshots, and below the app title?

    nope. just put whatever there to process the app file only IF ur gonna upload the binary to itunes connect. cause in itunes connect you have to type that all over again.

    but if ur uploading to the gs site then go ahead and fill the fields :)
