Blurry images

GingerBGamesGingerBGames Member Posts: 390
Hello GS'ers,

I'm using GIMP to create background images, whenever I put stuff different objects in the scene, they, and the entire image get really, really blurry. Does anyone know why, and how I can fix this? It's really frustrating. I keep the image an even number, such as 2046X326.

Well to start the max image size is 1024x1024 meaning your 2046x326 image is being reduced automatically by game salad and then stretched back out to 2046x326 if thats the size of your actor. either way that auto size reducing prob isn't helping things.

No, I'm sorry. In Gimp the image becomes blurry. I was just wondering if anyone else uses that? If so, do you know how to fix it?

I know what you are talking about but I use illustrator. Are you dragging images from you desktop into GIMP or WHEN do they become blurry?

DreamLab, just replied to your email. When i'm opening them as a layer in GIMP, that's when they are blurry.

Not sure if this is what your doing but if your scaling images bigger it doesnt matter what size the image is and if its even or not, it will be always be blurry and more blurry the bigger you make it
