Does anyone know if its legal to build a set using objects from renderosity and use it in a game?

IF you are buying stuff, you should state where you are planning on using the content. If the seller has issues with that, than s/he'll tell you right up front.
Also, while buying gfx content is OK, please know that should someone recreate your game or a modified version, that you have no exclusive claim on the look of the game.
For example: Say someone downloads one of my instruments and de-compiles the app resulting in gaining access to the images ...
I have the original 3D model and thus, can prove that I created the render as no one would be able to reproduce my work exactly as it is.
Sorting copyright issues based on bought artwork is probably very hard ...
If at all possible, find someone who can "copy" existing artwork but with her/his own touch and then use that instead. You'll sleep better if you do
