This is my first game, actually my first app! haha, I know it's a little basic, but it was a request by the person who has the dog.

Please give me feedback, I am already working on version 1.1!

    Hi iTouchGamer,

What an exciting feeling to have your first app published and see it in the app store!

As for feedback, I've looked at the screen shots on the app store and would make these suggestions. Consider adding the whole image of the dog to your app (but scale it down so that it's no larger than the head of the dog is right now - you don't want it to take up too much space on the screen). I think that would polish the look of your app.

The other suggestion would be a new direction, so to speak. Instead of drawing images in the snow with the dog, let users simply draw with their finger (and remove the dog altogether). I'm not suggesting this is a better way to go than using the dog, it's just another option. I find my apps (or ideas for apps) take new directions as they progress through various stages.

If you want to snaz it up, there's a template I saw recently that allows you to add snow or rain effects. I'm sorry I can't be more specific than that off the top of my head. Snow effects could be a nice touch with your snow theme.

Keep thinking of ways to fine tune (which it's clear you are, since you asked for feedback) and I'm sure you'll be happier with each update you make!

Haha yes it is a great feeling!!

I would make it the whole dog, but as I don't have a picture of the whole dog right now, it isn't possible lol.

I had the idea of making it just a drawing app, but since the request was for a game with a dog, I thought this would be cool.

As for the next version I'm working on now, I was thinking of adding more colors to draw in and to maybe add more backgrounds.

Thanks for the feedback and of anyone else has comments feel free to, well, comment!

Maybe you could make the snow background more flat, with no prints. Then actually write in the snow. Just create a brush with a bit of shadow depth to it. It's an option....

    Well, firstly, congrats!

I do like how some people just make games for the fun of it, and for friends/family! I think that's awesome.

    QS :D

    Thank you!

Yea, I wanted to see what I could do with my ideas. Well not my ideas haha, it was a request. It came out good though haha! I'm happy with it. :)

Yeah, I think with your concept it's about perfect. Not a real fun game in itself, but you made this for... your aunt... or if I recall someone in your family, right? It served a purpose and I'm sure your family loves Roxy on their iPhone's.

There is quite a bit you can do to make the game more interesting, like the suggestions made above. But all-in-all this, i'm sure, was a good and fun learning experience for you.

    Nice!

You have more games/apps on the appstore than half the members of this forum ;-)

Thanks man! Yes, it was for my Aunt/Uncle-to-be haha. So far, they all love it and are very excited.

I will use the suggestions above and try to implement them in my next few versions.

Haha, I never actually thought I'd have one app, but then again here I am.
