    ok,

    so first sales figures are in and it looks like this:

    iPad (which had an extra half day) 78 copies @1.99
    iPhone 131 copies @0.99

    Overall of $285 ish so far. Which is a solid start. The other thing that was good is that this is the first app I put URL linking into and most of the apps that are linked saw a good rise in sales as well.

    I'll update tomorrow with how things continue.

    Nice one - I liked the game, but found that at first, I didn't seem able to click the 'orders' above a character's head - which was a tad frustrating and confusing as you can imagine!

    Is there any way you could make them larger than the actual graphic perhaps?

    I'll look into it for the next update. I must admit I tend to make for iPad and downsize so the first play throughs on iphone are never like first plays. So I probably knew where to tap without thinking about it. Cheers for the feedback.

    Just noticed as well that the iPad version is new and noteworthy in arcade and simulation. Yay!

    So I dropped the price on the ipad version about halfway through these figures as it didn't seem to be grabbing hold in the rankings quite like the iphone version, it seems to have worked.

    Iphone - 142 units @0.99c
    iPad - 81 units (not sure at what point the price change affects these figures until appannie updates)

    so my rough estimate for the day is about $240 ish, so a slight drop in overall cash but an increase in unit sales (plus the previous days ipad figures was 2 days really) Other apps are again seeing a good rise from the URL linking.

    Cheers, I just hope that holds true for the game I've done off your runner template. Hopefully by introducing a hack n slash kinda slant to it as well it might differentiate it from the crowd.

    I'd love to hear an update on how this is doing for you.

    Of all the stuff I've seen on here, this one looks like it has the best potential to be a success.

    Hi,

    Sorry I didn't update. I've been at a work conference for the last few days. It has dropped off a little. Day 3 it shifted about $190 and days 4 and 5 about $120. Looking at the rankings now it looks like the next figures will be slightly up on this maybe leading into the weekend.

    I'm happy with the numbers even if they haven't been massive. Currently new and noteworthy in both arcade and simulation in the US, UK and singapore.

    Great Job Stu - Great looking graphics. And impressive sales figures...

    Interesting that you're seeing good sales for your other apps - you attribute this to your url link.... I don't have the url link (don't ask.... I left it too late to purchase the $100 bargain upgrade price for members - a busy Christmas).

    I also see a rise in sales of my other apps when I release an app - without the link... do u think the link has had a significant affect - I'm considering upgrading for, gulp, $500.... (still can't believe I missed the deadline!).

    I think when I upgrade all my older stuff to have URL links (especially the free stuff) then I think it will provide a consistent increase. I remember TSB talking about it in the past as something he finds works well to maintain sales.

    But it is clear from the figures that the ones that have seen the rises are the ones I have linked, the ones I don't have only shown a couple of extra sales.

    The YouTube trailer was a combination of things. I used the trailer feature of iMovie 11 to steal the transitions and titling. But that normally overlays a soundtrack and cuts your sound. So I took the captured video from screenflow and overlaid a png of the device in final cut pro. Then edited in the transitions and titles into the final cut project.

    wow,
    i just seen this. LOVE the graphics and i loved the little mini game where one can drop sugar into a cup. I think I would be capable of playing something like that :)
