QS - I am quite happy with how the game turned out really, apart from it missing a couple of features (GC). Other people have suggested that the graphics could be improved, but everyone has seemed to enjoy how it plays. Now I could improve the graphics and keep adding stuff to it, but sales have been low, and is it really worth it with all these runners? I was considering even making it free today, but I thought it's a bit premature. Do you think it's still worth pushing? I also have a free version which has been out a few days, but hasn't helped sales much. Wrong genre perhaps....
I think, though it looks like a runner, it's more of a puzzle game. But that's just me! Maybe change it to be in the puzzle category? (if it isn't already!)
I've seen several people say that due to poor sales, it's not worth doing more on a game.
Personally, I think that's the wrong attitude. I'm sure you care deeply about your game, so why *not* just add stuff when you can? Take a break from another game to do it, maybe?
Anyway, I just wondered if you were happy with it. I think it's important that you are, regardless of how 'well' it's done!
Yea I have considered putting it into the Puzzle category, but the puzzle element doesn't really kick in until later on in the game. So is there enough of a puzzle element to justify the Puzzle category?
Edit: I know what you're thinking, add more of the puzzle element to it. More levels to warrant the category.
Working on V1.2. It's been suggested that I do the following: - Having a basic endless mode available from the start - New endless mode types to unlock - Making the tutorial levels shorter, and possibly all back to back at the beginning instead of having a practice level almost after each tutorial.
Can anyone make any suggestions or tell me if they agree with the above?
OK.. just got done playing up to lvl 22 and 10min of hyper. First, this game is awesome and an outstanding gamesalad production. well done sir! As for the 3 possible improvements you mention I would keep hyper locked until at least after the training levels cause it's brutal!
New (less brutal) endless modes would be nice indeed. Before I forget, only glitch I ran into was getting stuck on the red ceiling if I jumped to early.
Personal suggestion would be to keep hyper (or any new endless mode) loaded after failure with the score displayed in a popup and the option to go at it again without loading.
Thanks for your feedback, and I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I am going to add an easier endless mode, and different ones. I will also change the restart for endless mode. How do you feel about the tutorial levels being all back to back, instead of as it is. Also being able to skip them?
Well there are 10 training levels, but I broke them up by adding some levels in between. So I want to condense the training levels into 8 and have them all at the start one after another.

Runner games traditionally are random - the placement of platforms is usually never the same.
Your game, I felt from the start, is more of a puzzle game, because there's a set way through each level.
Does that make sense?

Otherwise an excellent game!

(edit: just made it to the last 8.. this game is hardcore!)
