registering name with apple

I've done a search and have not been able to find the answer to my question. Sorry if it's been answered before

I've noticed a few people mention "registering" their app name/title with Apple to keep people from taking their name before their game is finished. How do you do it, though?

Do you just add an app in iTunes Connect but wait to upload the game until it's finished? How long can you "save" a name for?

    Exactly, don't upload a binary. Not sure how long you get it for, I think it's a month?

    Three mints (90 days) plus 30 days extension if you need it :-)

    Mmm wow they send you 3 mints for reserving a name? How courteous.

    I think apple should send us mints for every day they are sit tin' on our stff!

    lol, yeah typing on the iPad is like typing with your tongue, although I've never tried that.

    wow man, it works so MUCH better AND, finally I got rid of the nasty fingerprints.
