After a week my app has finally entered the "in review" stage at Apple.

How soon can I quit my day job?

It really depends weather or not you have successfully duplicated AngryBirds and will have as much success?

But seriously only a few on here I think have actually quite there day job because of game salad. that only make games were making games before game salad and this has just opened things up for them.
The rest of us, quitting your job is just a pipe dream. Although I am unemployed right now so I guess I can claim I am full time game developer.

I'm joking people... I Guess sarcasm doesn't translate well over the forum. It's an educational "bubble pop" game for kids to learn letters and numbers. Maybe I'll get a meal out of it... But my friend (who's idea it was) insisted that every mother in the world would buy it. I don't trust her marketing research.

If you market that in the right place it could do good. If she is active with Mother's forums. have her post about it. My wife says they eat that stuff up when it comes from one of their other mother forum members. You could still give it a shot on the mothers forums regardless. but it would definitely carry much more weight coming form one of their own. One of these days i'm gonna get around to doing a kids app and give it a try. I've just been real busy lately and the first one I start I found one almost identical but way better like two weeks later so I just scrapped that one. LOL

I agree 100%. There are so many different children's apps out there. Some are a very high quality. She purchased one for her child and I laughed. I said, "Give me 5 mins. and I could have made that myself." That's always dangerous. So this is where we are at. I fulfilled what appeared to be promise to make an app for her. Thank GOODNESS I didn't have to x-code the thing. That would have been more work than I would have wanted to do.
