Not sure if this software has been mentioned before but I discovered ArtText 2. Great for making buttons and fancy dancy text stuff. Check it out. There is a free demo on the site to try it out.

    Oh and it is copyright safe...anything you make within the program with their stuff can be used in an app. I double checked with them yesterday :-)

    Of course if you pull in art and images from the outside into the program all bets are off then.
