What to charge for contract development?

Hey gang,
A friend of mine introduced to a friend of a friend .... to make a long story short, someone wants an app loosely based on my trumpet which is supposed to be used for a teaching studio and run on the Mac desktop.
I haven't said no (or yes for that matter) and wonder if any of you do contract development?
I don't expect problems related to compensation but what worries me is how I can get around the GS branding and how much i should charge. They are not planning on selling their app other than for internal use on 12 stations.
Anyone here done something like that?
