Hey gang,
somewhat of an important day for me because I've followed the advise given in an marketing book and released a free and premium version of an app today!
There were posts which stated that Apple is moving away from dual apps so every time I get new mail, I'm a little nervous that it might be bad news ;)

Maybe I'm lucky? ho nose

Good Luck! Keep us informed of the outcome. A lot of us are wondering.

For my game, I've decided to stay away from the "lite" and "full" version just in case. Instead I'm thinking of doing a free "Prequel" that advertises a "Sequel" with different levels, experiences, and actor behaviors. I don't think Apple will have an argument against that model.

    Any thoughts from others???

I think that what Apple is looking at is the ability to see a single App on the store and choose if you want to download the lite version or the full one. I think that it will provide a better user experience overall and will clean up the App store a bit.

Not sure how ranking will work in this case...

Apples point is understandable because at some point, it will get VERY crowded and to avoid that, they are applying corrective measures now.
But since I don't make games, I hope they will let it slip through because the free instrument will be used by many more people than the $2.99 one

Every time my iMac burbs (receives mail) i'm crossing my fingers that it is not from Apple or Revenue Canada or my Wife!

THANK you everyone who wished me luck! Thanks James for wishing me luck LOL

Apple just approved an instrument in free and non free ($2.99) version!

WOOHOO ... i was sitting on needles because of something tshirtbooth posted the other day .... but now I know that they love me more than him :) LOL

Very excited now I better record my youtube video!

One thing that might be interesting to know for those of you who work with sound.

I made a "piano" like instrument that can trigger almost 30 sounds and out of those, four at a time!

GS handles that load and i think that it is impressive! :)

p.s. although ready, the apps will be in the store in about two days because i am delaying the release to fix up my forum which i've installed just the other day.
