3-14 days to get to review has been my experience and then its a crap shot on how long they review. Some have posted an app being in review for more than a month

Generally, from others experience, it can range from a couple hours to a couple days to a week.

my average is about 8 (plus minus two) days and then an additional two days in the reviewing stage.
If you have not been diagnosed with stage three cancer, you have a great chance to see your app in iTunes in all it's glory soooooooooon!

On a more serious note. If this is your first submittal and judging by your excitement, it is, make sure you follow up once it is in the reviewing stage and adjust the release date accordingly.

    Actually,
please ignore my above post as I have a new answer for you!

Based on the experience of iDeveloper who answered you based on his experience on other peoples experience of one hour (which is as rare as winning the lottery) to one week which is unrealistic as well ...

I should note the 3 day into review and then another 2 days to release was an update so that may be why it went so fast. my first game was 8 days waiting and 4 hours to the first rejection then after re submitting with a fix and emailing them asking them to re review it it only took about 2-4 more hours to be accepted.

My first/last app took them about 5 days to review.
