Hey all
So my second game has been sent to itunes and am in the "Waiting for review" stage.
I have made a youtube video to promote the game but wanted feedback from you guys to see what you think about the game:
Any feedback positive or negative is very welcome

I would make the target squares line up, the blue one is a little higher than the red one.

Without further ado the amended video:
That's what I get here in Sweden.
I almost went into a seizure Trynna read those fast a.ss texts lol
1. Either skip the cheesy Star Wars text or at least slow it down so one can read it.
2. What's with the music? I reckon you didn't produce the music yourself (since you apparently earlier had the Star Wars music). I highly advice against using other people's music promoting a commercial product. The very least you could do is credit the original producer / composer. In any way, the music doesn't fit the promo at all. And there seems to be some background noise, like you've recorded yourself speaking and have it at really low volume... Use the music you have in your game instead.
3. The flying text... Don't mix fonts like that. Use only one.
Remember, the intention of a promo is to sell your product. Before going live on the internet with it I'd suggest showing it to a friend who's never seen anything from the game and see his / her reactions.
Regarding the game itself:
Change the color of the text that explains the different modes. It's very hard to read (at least on the YouTube version).
I'd try and do something about the explosions. If you can't animate it, try playing around with opacity and make the other explosion actors behind rotate a bit so it's harder to see that they are one and the same image.
And finally; why is it called Rainbow Bomb? Do we get bombs in all the seven main colours? Right now it should be called Red and Blue Bombs =P If there are more colours I think you should show it in your promo video.
Anyhow, good luck!
Yep your right, I really enjoyed the DS mini game and took my inspiration from it (although the concept is the same, the game itself differs in many different ways)
In relation to the name, I had chosen it prior to starting the game as I had a different concept in mind and had made 8 different coloured bombs, I liked the name so kept it.
I tried lots of different methods with the explosions and I gotta be honest I like what ive ended up with best.
Thanks for taking the time to write such a detailed post
I hope you don't take my post too harshly It's just I come from a industry where I'm used to both rip my colleges' work in pieces and get my own work ripped apart like that I find that hard brutal honesty benefits the project better than flattery (although, if something's really awesome, then it has the right to be called so
I honestly dont get people who get upset when other people are just being honest
