So I am ready to pay for the indy program $99/year. I was looking for any feedback on users experiences with testing their games on the iphone and then submitting to itunes... positive or negative....thanks for any info.

Really worth it. Creating games is easy compared to getting games through the xcode process. It's a pain in the $^#*@&;(. Hasn't worked for me after days of attempts.

I got it working and its really cool. I just needed to restart my system. Buy it. You'll love it.

It is indeed the most awesome thing!

I can definitely vouch that the platform is more than just for games. The audio engine used allows me to create musical instrument apps like Chordica Touch.

It is well worth every penny, very rewarding, and easy to use, probably the best program out there!

Come on in the water is fine! The experience for me so far has been challenging and rewarding at the same time. Also, there is a good sense of community support here - the people here really try to help you when you have questions.
