I have a game put together. It was designed to play on the old iPhones and iPods. Will it display ok on an iPhone 4 and will apple approve it?

Yes as long as you don't have resolution independence checked. it will display the same on all devices.

I thought ri was supposed to help with that?

RI makes a a low res duplicate of the art you import. That way on 4th Gen stuff it loads the high res and the low res stuff loads on everything else. but if you don't load High res images and then check RI all old devices will have blurry art because it cuts the low res art you imported in half.

I would recommend using RI But if you don't want to make the larger art Don't check the box.

    Thanks for the answer tenrdrmer.

I was trying to use RI, but obviously I am unable to comprehend it all right now. I have all but completed what I want to to do, but it is based on a 320 by 280 screen. I have tried increasing backgrounds and artwork size. Then the buttons stopped working and I started to get frustrated. I was unable to find an idiot proof tutorial for iphone4 programming that explained an easy way to convert the smaller screen to the bigger screen and graphics.

Ok.... so when I use the default iphone portrait view all my actors with (touch=pressed goto next scene) work without any problems.

i enlarge the background to 640by960
i enlarged the camera to 640 by 960
I loaded an actor... added the (touch=pressed goto next scene) and it just sits there.
Who is smarter than me and can tell me what I am missing?
