Using a Template

Hi,
I am making a game called "ipachinko." I started it using the pachinko template, but I am going to have around 16 levels and all sorts of types of marbles, and themes. I made all new graphics and sound effects. Is it okay if the game is loosely based on the template? Also is the "I" copyright? I would like to know because I think this game has potential and has sufficient new gameplay to stand out from other peggle games.
Thanks!

Well if your saying your gonna take the template, and just switch the graphics then no. But if your gonna use the template look at the behaviors learn from it, recreate your own levels with what you learned, add your own stuff and make it unqiue then by all means go for it
