Hey everybody!

Butterbean just alerted me that The Secret of Grisly Manor has been reviewed in the latest issue of Know Your Apps magazine!

Unfortunately the game only received 2/5 stars, but any press is good press, right?

I'm determined that my next game will get at least 3/5 stars! ;0)

    At least your name will be out there. Im sure fans of point-and-click adventure games will get it despite the bad review.

    It's great exposure and just cool to be featured in a print magazine. Congrats on being featured!

    Congratulations man! I remember the first time I had a game officially reviewed in a magazine, it's an exciting feeling. You have to really learn to separate yourself from your work and take it as feedback for future projects.

    And especially for this type of thing, you probably have a guy reviewing every game he's given that month instead of a dedicated Adventure genre guy. So he probably forgot how insanely hard and cryptic adventure games in the 90s were. I remember being stuck on this ridiculous Sierra game called Lighthouse for an entire summer. Nature of the beast.

    That's very cool. Shame about the stars, but the screen shots alone would surely tempt a few into buying.

    Totally deserved! Grats :D

    You do deserve more stars but definitely, as said above, I bet many people will buy it anyway. (Looks like they used some great pics.)

    @madmassey - Are you a regular here? I'm not on much lately but I don't think I've seen you. What game did you have reviewed in a mag ooi?

    Peach - Not really a regular yet, heh. Been working with GS a little over a month, but I've been in the game industry for 5 years. I quit my last job a few months ago and my artist buddy and I wanted to see if we could make any money off a funny, old school adventure game for the iPhone before we got another job in a big studio. My first magazine reviewed game was Call of Duty 4... here's my slightly out of date portfolio - madmassey.com

    I was in shock when I saw this, just casually flipping through App magazines, and my jaw dropped! Nice work Joe! :)
