Finger follow

Hi! I have unsuccessfully been attempting to get multiple actors to follow the position of a touch, but from one axis. The idea is that the camera is tracking an actor (Like a Helicopter ) while the player would use their finger to guide rectangular actors which would consistently be sliding up and down, or left and right to track the location of the finger. I have made some very quick photo's to illustrate what I mean. Sorry for the crude photo's... they're crude.

The initial start of the game. The hand is a hand, the grey objects are the sliders, and the black box represents the camera. Note how the sliders on the side are tracking the finger up and down:

This would be a few seconds into the game, the paddles don't change from their axis, but they keep following the touch location:

Any and all help would be appreciated.

Take a look at firemaplegames tamplate for "sliders"
I think it's exactly what you need!
I'm from my phone now so I can't post a link
Do a search in GsCreator for firemaplegames and if you don't find it I'll give you the link when I get home.

Ok, I've gotten my sliders to work like the "accelerate to mouse" demo, but I keep running into a problem where when the camera goes more than a camera length to the right or left, the slider doesn't continue to follow. It goes to the perimeter of the initial camera origin, and then slows to a halt.
