Develop without a device?

Hey, is it possible to develop and publish to apple without a Ipod touch? I was hoping to first unload a few apps and then buy the ipod with the few bucks I make.

I mean sure you can do it, theres no rule saying you need to lol, but i defniently dont recomend it. The preview, viewer and device build all act different, and theres so many bugs that you dont catch with preview but will on the device.

Really? It said I couldn't upload an app until I've registered a testing device. Maybe I read it wrong... I totally understand and I would prefer to test it first but I don't have the money do buy one at this moment. It's a fairly simple game with only a few actors so I'm sure there can't be to many bugs.

It means that you have to add a developer device. All that is is adding the udid from the device. It can be anybodys, and they dont check to see if the app was added to a device or anything. I still wouldnt recomend it though because theres crashes that happen only on device and not on the viewer or preview. And if that happens youll be stuck.
