2D Vector Artist/Animator

KAGKAG Member Posts: 6
Hi all:

I'm a freelance artist that is very interested in developing iPhone games, and would love to have work for a shipped game in my portfolio. To date I've only done some comps and a trailer for a released app.

My portfolio is here: http://tenacioustoons.blogspot.com/

Open to collaboration as I have a prototype I'd like to get done, but prefer paid work. Available after Jan 1.

Happy Holidays!

Hi wcarmical, welcome to the Forum. Just loving your stuff! Professional and fun, just right for gaming.

I'm working on 2 games at the moment, both to be finished by May/June next year so that's me out for collaboration; but I'm sure you'll get another member who'd be interested.

Do you do commissioned work? I'd like to possibly commission some illustrations from you. Next year though, when I start on my third project.

Best of luck with your illustration/game-making.

    :-)

PS Happy Holidays to you also!

Nice stuff! I would recommend you to find someone to team up with. GS need more teams/collaborations.

Thank you for the comments. The forums here are great and I appreciate that as a new user I feel welcome.

I am available for work for hire. I have done work for other game platforms, and feel confident I could deliver graphics/animation for the iOS to spec. My rates are reasonable. If this led to collaboration, all the better. : )

Hi DonaldM; people can sometimes divert other people's threads (I've done it myself in the past) but when it's a post that's overtly different, especially seeming to compete with the thread, you should create your own thread. For that reason, I've created a new thread and given it a title of Conceptual art needs polishing: paid work, which you can change by editing the post if you like.

OK, I didn't realise that if I move a post, it shows with my name. Plus it doesn't look like anyone can comment... If you'd like to start a new thread yourself, copying and pasting your original post, I'll delete the one that's been moved.

My husband and I are developers of special education apps. Since we
have a small budget we are looking into using vectors in our app from
a site like vectorstock.com and having someone animate them for us.
My first question is whether there is a free program to download that
can handle these vectors. I am only using Paint.net right now and it
doesn't seem that I can use this. I am also wondering what type of question I should ask to hire an artist to animate.I'm sorry to intrude will all my lay person questions but would appreciate the advice.

It woulds actually be much more appropriate to start your own thread on this since you are asking a question that doesn't have anything to do with this post really.

InkScape is a free vector art program that i'm told is similar to illustrator.
