Any way to remove joints when tiling backgrounds?

As title says really,

I have a 1000 by 1000 background image and a 1000 x 6000 scene size, there seems to be no performance gain from tiling but its easier to do, however it does have the nasty join lines where the images aren't quite touching. Just wondering if anybody has a way to remove them, maybe editing the image some way?

Also, are there still issues with tiling and Resolution independence?

cheers

I believe there is a slight glitch in GS that causes the gap and to override it you need to overlap your images a few pixels so the glitch plus the overlap actual results in correct positioning.

Not sure about the resolution issues?

Because I'm using the tiling feature Im not placing them individually so can't overlap. I might have to revert back to doing it manually with 6 smaller actors.

hope they fix the r.i issue, I'll make it low res for now.

    Cheers

It seems to happen on iPhone 4's regardless of whether or not RI is ticked
