New to GameSalad - Publishing Question

I have a developer account, and I have downloaded the Free version, which shows that it allows you to publish to the App Store.

After searching, a lot of topics seemed old, so I dont know how relevant they are.

Is the publishing to the App Store free? Or do we have to also pay GS? When looking at the options in the download section, it says its free, so I just wanted to double check.

    Yes, publishing with GS is free. You just have to provide some info, like the provisioning profile, for example.
