Creating specific sounds

Hi everyone,
I am a newbie here, and to game development, how can I get some sound bits made? can I make my own?
how do game developers usually get the sound for their games?

Hi kalamantina: google "free sounds" and "free sound effects" and you'll find a ton of stuff there. Also googling "copyright free music" will find links for copyright free stuff, that you pay a one-off fee for.

One of Forum community members, Photics, is selling 1000 sound effects for $10, I think it was. They are excellent quality and well worth checking out. I'll put up the link when I can find it (unless someone else beats me to it...)
