Resolution Independence and Blank images?!

I was reading a comment here earlier, advising against the use of Resolution Independence because it creates bad looking images. So, I decided to take a look at the final project that I sent to Apple.

I noticed something interesting (possibly disturbing) when I opened the project file. All of the images were blank, The file sizes seemed correct, but all of the images did not appear. I launched the GameSalad project file and all of the images in my game were not appearing.

Is this intended or will I have to reject the binary for a fourth time?

I submitted an app with Resolution Independence and it's working fine.

I think it might be that same trick they're doing with icons, but it's still unsettling to see all those blank images. I'm thinking that if my game is broken, Apple will just reject it.
